To followers of Master Simon Wong's teaching, the current conflict between Israel and Lebanon will come as no suprise. In his 2006 Feng Shui book, Master Wong used feng shui to predict trouble for the region.

According to feng shui, in 2006 the conflict star falls over the Middle East.

We determine this by placing the different regions of the world into the appropriate directions according to the 9 star grid above. Therefore, we could say that China is in the East (number 1 star), America in the West, Africa in the South, etc.

By using this method we can tell that the number 3 star - meaning conflict - is in the Middle East region during 2006.

Also, when we focus in closer on the region, we can see that Lebanon and Israel are in the North West of the region. This means they will also be affected by the Year God (the powerful negative influence of Jupiter).

When these two factors are combined with an already volatile region, we are able to predict that there will be big problems.

In his 2006 Feng Shui book, Master Simon Wong wrote:

With the conflict star over the middle east area we can expect the problems in the middle east to get worse this year. Iraq will continue to be the source of much unrest in the region and it is unlikely that America will be able to withdraw many of its troops. As we have seen at the
start of 2006 the situation in the region has dramatically worsened with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suffering a serious stroke, and Iran coming under increasing pressure from the international community over it’s nuclear capabilities. Other countries such as Syria may not
escape the glare of the US.
