In 2007, the number 2 star is in the centre. Number 2 is the illness star. This will cause a lot of sickness all around the world. The element of the number 2 star is earth. Earth has the colour yellow, whilst the number 2 star has the colour black. In the River Map 2 & 7 in the south represent fire.

Throughout the 8th fortune, the no 8 star will be in the centre. As this star has the most influence during this time we call it the active star. Number 2 has the element earth, and the number 8 star also belongs to earth. This ‘double earth’ means that it will help to make you rich and famous. It is very good for property and business. The no. 8 star represents the temple and monks, and the number 2 star also represents loneliness, so this year there will be lots of marriages and divorces. Gambling will increase in popularity, with more casinos being built and increasing numbers of people gambling online.

Global Outlook for 2007

Middle East

With the number 2 star in the centre this year, as we are in the 8th Fortune, the beneficial combination of 8 & 2 in the centre should bring some hope. The Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed to release $100 million in frozen Palestinian funds at Christmas 2006 following talks with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Jerusalem. However, given the troubles and conflicts in the area, we will see some positive progress. The personal astrology of the leaders will play a part, with the Palestinians and Syrians in for a difficult time. This means that they will not be able to pursue their own agendas to the same extent, which in the case of these countries, may in fact be positive for the region as a whole.

However the main focus is likely to be on Iraq and Iran. Iraq will continue to be the source of much unrest in the region. US and UK troops have an impossible task fighting a guerilla war against Saddham Hussein’s old army that is mixed with the local population. According to George W. Bush’s personal astrology, he will become more popular this year, and he may use this popularity to send more troops to the area. However, with the deaths of soldiers continuing, the US and UK governments will come under more pressure to withdraw. Even if Tony Blair leaves office, he may not escape repercussions for his involvement.

The pressure on Iran will grow as the international community turns the screw over its nuclear capabilities. The problems in Afghanistan will continue and the allied forces will face fresh opposition, finding it increasingly hard to win the war.

USA

The no. 5 star - representing trouble - is in the north east of the country in 2007, together with some bad Chinese Astrology stars. This means that areas such as New York city, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Detroit will have a lot of problems. In particular, this will mean an increased chance of terrorist threats, natural disasters such as storms, fires, and flooding, plane and train crashes, landslides and road accidents.

The number 3 star and the Year God are in the north west of the USA. This will produce conflict and terrorist attacks, as well as natural disasters such as landslides, earthquakes, flooding and volcanic eruptions.

In the west of the country, San Franciso is at greater risk of natural disasters - particularly earthquakes, floods and fires, due to the 3 Sha stars.

In the north, the number 7 star could bring civil unrest and a chance of riots to Minneapolis.

Los Angeles and Las Vegas will be quite successful in 2007 due to the good influence of the number 8 flying star and the 2 Little Prosperity Chinese astrology stars.

The number 1 star will help the tourist trade have a very prosperous 2007 in Florida, but due to the Broken Year star there will also be some disasters in the region.

England

We can apply the analysis to England in the same way. To give some examples, starting with the number 5 star in the north east of the country, we could see more rioting and unrest in cities such as Bradford and Leeds.

North western parts of the country such as Manchester and Liverpool may experience some severe weather and flooding, and all kinds of accidents such as plane or train crashes, explosions and landslides.

Within London, there will also be some problems, with terrorists likely to be using north-east London as a base for their activities, whilst there will be conflict in the north west in areas such as Wembley.

Europe

As a whole it will not be a very good year for European countries, as on a global level, the no.4 star is in the area means a lot lust and fame and in Chinese astrology the 3 sha is there which means economic problems, riots, natural disasters, terrorist attacks and a lot of danger.

With the number 5 star and bad Chinese astrology stars in the north east, countries such as Finland, Sweden and Norway will have a lot of problems relating to riots, demonstrations, natural disaster, train crashs, plain crashes, accidents at sea, landslides, flooding and tornados.

China

With the good stars in the east of the earth this year, it looks set to be another excellent year for the Chinese, as the economy will continue to grow rapidly in the year before the Olympics.

In the north west, Xinjiang province once again looks set for a difficuly year as it is affected by the number 3 star (conflict), as well as the Year God. This will cause problems and conflicts, possibly with the muslim population. In the past, China has kept its muslims under tight control, but the bad stars this year could make Islamic fundamentalists active again.

In the north east of the country around the capital Beijing area, the number 5 star also causes earthquakes, landslides, extreme weather and disease. There is a greater chance of riots and unrest.

South America

Brazil in the number 5 area where the capital Brasilia is based and other cities like Salvador and Belem there will be riots, flooding, disasters like plane crashes, disease and landslides.

These problems will be bad for the economy, combined with corruption and civil unrest. Countries in the north west side of South America such as Colombia, Peru and Ecuador may be affected by earthquakes, drug wars, kidnappings, conflict and natural disasters.

Russia

Russia will be good economically due to its natural resources. Vladimir Putin has a few good stars and can expect things to be better than last year when he had a hard time as he was against the Year God and his protractors kept on being assassinated. In Chinese astrology, Moscow the capital is where the 3 sha stars are, which means there could be accidents, natural disasters and terrorism. Putin should increase security in Moscow.

Accidents and Natural disasters

The no 2 star in the centre will cause a lot of major accidents this year, for example contagious diseases, train, plane and ship disasters and explosions.
All around the world there will be a higher risk than usual of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and landslides, flooding, storms, hurricanes and forest fires. Countries on the major earthquake fault lines will have to be prepared.

However, some of these disasters are likely to be caused by the effects of increasing global warming, making the climate unpredictable. We
had further confirmation of this in 2006 with reports that the ice on top of the Himalayas is melting.

War and Terrorism

According to Flying Star Feng Shui, in 2007 things will quieten down as 8 & 2 come together in the centre. However, this should not lull us into a false sense of security. George W.Bush is having a hard time in Iraq and Afghanistan, and his war on terrorists is in fact creating many new terrorists, and we will see the repercussions of this before too long.

Economy

With the bad stars in the north west and north and good stars in the east, the main trend in 2007 will be China continuing to grow faster than any other economy. Japan, South Korea, and India will all be doing well.

Analysis for the next 20 years

Times will become harder as we move toward the end of the Lower Round in 40 years time. Conflicts and wars will only increase. We can also use the I Ching 2 Round 8 Fortune to look ahead. We are currently in the I Ching Lower Round, 8th Fortune, which began in 1996 and is heading toward the 9th Fortune in 2017. Both Flying Star 3 Round 9 Fortune and I Ching 2 Round 8 Fortune total 180 years as a cycle, so in about 40 years time a new cycle will start.

This period will give rise to recession, mass unemployment, violent attacks and crime, growing drug abuse, more Islamic fundamentalis, environmental pollution, rising divorce rates, growing numbers of transexuals, an increase in AIDS and other illnesses, natural disasters, and after the EU, burgeoning globalisation. There will be a polarisation of ideologies towards Islam or Christianity. With both Russia and China gradually embracing a more capitalist ideology, fundamentalist Islamic countries will be the source of most tension. These countries will fight against non-islamic countries and Islam will clash with all the other religions. Even within China the Islamic fundamentalists will still be causing a lot of problems, and so the Chinese will support the West against them. There will be a lot of political game-playing as each country tries to make the best of the situation for themselves.

From the I Ching, we can see that in 2005 we entered a more peaceful period that will last until 2025. The Third World War will start from around 2025.
