Inviting the Money God into your home - 14th February 2010

On Chinese New Year’s Day, 14th February 2010 (1st of January 2010 on the Chinese calendar), you can perform the Chinese custom of inviting the Money God into your home in order to bring prosperity and luck into the household.

The best times will be:

• 11pm (13th Feb) - 1am (14th Feb)
• 3am - 9am

You will need to avoid these bad times as well:

• 1am - 3am
• 9am - 11am
• 11am - 3pm Road Empty
• 3pm - 5pm Bad Day

The directions that you have to walk towards are as follows:

• The Money God is in the South East
• The Happiness God is in the North West

Afterwards you should go to the nearest temple to light the first incense of the year, or if you have your own shrine you may do this at home.

Blessing Ceremony - from 16th Feb 2010

This is a traditional ceremony to say thankyou to the Gods and ensure good fortune for the coming year. You should set up an offering of food - buy some cakes, and cook some dishes, light incense, and wish for success.

16 February (Sunday) is unsuitable for Rabbit people.
19 February (Friday) is unsuitable for Horse people.
22nd February (Monday) not suitable for Chicken people
25th February (Thursday) is unsuitable for Rat people.
26th February (Friday) unsuitable for Ox people
28th February (Sunday) unsuitable for Rabbit people
2nd March (Tuesday) unsuitable for Snake people
3rd March (Wednesday) unsuitable for Horse people
7th March (Sunday) unsuitable for Dog people

Reopening your business - from 17th Feb 2010

17th February (Wednesday) unsuitable for Dragon people
19th February (Friday) is unsuitable for Horse people
22nd February (Monday) is unsuitable for Chicken people
25th February (Thursday) unsuitable for Rat people
26th February (Friday) unsuitable for Ox people
28th February (Sunday) unsuitable for Rabbit people
2nd March (Tuesday) unsuitable for Snake people
3rd March (Wednesday) unsuitable for Horse people
8th March (Monday) unsuitable for Pig people
