WHAT IS FENG SHUI?Feng Shui (Called Geomancy in the West) is an art that developed in ancient China over 5000 years ago. It is based on The Taoist philosophy (Wu Chi ,Tai Chi , Pa Qua, 5 Elements and the I Ching) and is a highly developed method to enhance the positive influences of the environment while avoiding the negative ones. This has always been a secret art, passed on from Master to student but now Master Wong will open this secret to the public for the first time and explain it in a modern scientific way. He reveals how Feng Shui is a method to harmonise the electromagnetic radiation and the forces of gravity that issue from the Earth, the planets in our Solar System, the Sun, the moon and our own internal radiation. It is used to determine the best site for one's home; place of work or business and the best system of design and positioning for interior decorating to create the most favourable environment in which you can function at the top of your ability. Feng Shui can be divided into 2 major styles such as Surroundings (Landscape) Feng Shui and Metaphysical Feng Shui. Surrounding (Landscape) Feng Shui can be divided into large and small variations and can affect your luck for a long time. Metaphysical Feng Shui can affect your luck for a short time like 8 Mansions, Flying Star and I Ching Feng Shui. By combining all these different styles, the accuracy of the consultation will be increased.
The Chinese believe everything originates from emptiness (Wu Chi). From Wu Chi, Yin and Yang are created - negative and positive power. These two opposing forces are known as the Tai Chi. Through the cyclic movement of the Tai Chi, the eight Trigrams (Pa Qua) are created. The Trigrams relate to the eight directions of the compass. Four of these positions are positive and 4 are negative, consequently, depending on which year you are born and which element you are and whether you have a positive or negative charge, we can use the Pa qua to determine which of the eight directions are most beneficial to you. Each of the 8 directions combine to create another 8 directions, (8 x 8 = 64) So there are 64 directions of constantly changing Universal Power. These are all recorded in the I Ching which describes the process of how the Universe changes. From this information we can determine whether your home or work is suitably positioned. If the positioning is not suitable we can advise you on the best possible layout. (2) Lok Shi Lok Shi is based on how the radiation from the 9 planets in our Solar system affects the Earth. The house or office is divided into 9 sectors. Each of these sectors corresponds to one of the planets. Lok Shi is also called the magic square. This is because if all the numbers are placed in a square from 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. The number 5 is in the centre while the remaining numbers lie on the rest of the sectors rotating according to the planetary positions. It doesn't matter in which way you add the numbers on the square the result is always equal to 15. This is proof of the earliest Chinese mathematics. Each number represents different positions, different elements, different colour, different natural effects, different body parts, different members of the family etc. With this information we can determine the direction of the planetary radiation. As the planets are constantly moving these directions change on a daily, monthly and annual basis. If it is beneficial radiations we use the Feng Shui to improve the luck if it is harmful radiation we use Feng Shui to neutralise the effect. (3) Five Elements and Five Energies The Ancient Chinese people understood that the whole universe is based on the Five Elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Emptiness which are influenced by the five energies (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire & Earth). Metal represents solidifying energy; Wood represents growing energy; Water represents flowing energy; Fire represents active energy and Earth represents spreading energy. These Energies interact to both create and destroy each other. In Feng Shui we have to determine which of the five Energies you are most influenced by. At your moment of birth one of these Energies will be most prominent and you will absorb this energy. From that moment on you will be influenced by that particular type of energy throughout your life. Each Energy is capable of creating or destroying other Energies. If the Feng Shui of your house generates an Energy that is destructive to your own then you will suffer a lot of bad luck; financial troubles; bad health and relationships. On the other hand by altering the layout of your house to generate an energy that is productive to your own , then you will get a lot of good fortune. We can determine your type of Energy using a formula based on the year of your birth. From this information in conjunction with the I Ching we are able to tell whether the direction of your house/office is suitable for you or not, to prevent any misfortune. WHO
USES FENG SHUI? Although relatively unknown over here - in the East no building of any importance is built without first consulting a Feng Shui expert. In fact many Government buildings, shops, restaurants, offices, banks and even many of the Stock Exchange buildings around the world are using Feng Shui. In the UK many of the largest businesses have used Feng Shui to increase productivity and sales. For example, Lloyds Bank, Marks and Spencer, The Body Shop and Virgin. Even Western government officials have used Feng Shui including The White House and Downing Street. It is even used in the most hard headed business organisations in the World - the major Japanese Corporations who use this system to promote harmonious working conditions and co-operation between workers. It is used in the design and positioning of buildings and the co-ordination of various departments. This results in good morale, ambience, company loyalty and improved productivity. All the things the Japanese Companies are famous for. This proves the validity of the system.
